Photos from North Devon

Lane Barton sits on the side of a hill just inland from the North Devon Coast, overlooking the Village of Woolsery with a small wooded valley between.

It is the coast that draws many visitors to the area for it's natural beauty. The Hartland peninsula is where the Atlantic surges, onward into the Bristol channel and this natural boundary defines the beaches either side of Hartland point.

On the north side you will see high rugged cliffs with a few little villages clinging to the sides, Clovelly being by far the most impressive and always worth the experience. Clovellys less know neighbour Bucks Mills has its own distictive charm.

Heading east towards Bideford Bay the Landscape softens where the rivers Taw and Torridge meet. Continue further and Exmoors granite fortress stands firm.
